Mackay Patients

Our team has been traveling to Mackay for the last 20 years to assist patients with their obesity problems. Dr. Copp has performed well over 1000 procedures in Mackay to date.

We are proud of our commitment to Central Queensland.

We have established a very comprehensive team in Mackay who help our patients reach their weight loss goals.

The Team includes two Doctors in General Practice and Dietcare Mackay. 

 

We also refer to Queensland X-ray Mackay or Mackay Radiology for our patients who may  require specialized radiological intervention.

 

We see our patients at Suite 9 Mater Private Hospital, Mackay, Qld, 4740

We travel to Mackay every 8 weeks to perform surgery and see our patients, patient can have

surgery in Mackay or come down to Brisbane or Ipswich 

Surgeries performed in Mackay at the Mackay Mater Private Hospital:

 

  • Sleeve gastrectomy 

  • Port adjustment

  • LapBand removals

  • Laparoscopic Fundoplications

  • Mini Gastric Bypass

 

For some other surgeries we do require our patients to travel to Ipswich some of these  include:​

  • Gastric Bypass

  • Mini Gastric Bypass for patients over 150 kg

 

Due to some of the specialist interventions required for our patients before and after surgery we require them to travel to Ipswich for these procedures is due to the resources and weight restriction at the Mater Private Hospital in Mackay. Surgery in Ipswich is done at St. Andrew's Private Hospital. We will also require patients travelling to Ipswich for surgery to remain in the area for ten days post op for recovery from surgery.
